POWER WALK: FOOTSTEPS COULD POWER MOBILE ELECTRONICS

Tom Krupenkin, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and J. Ashley Taylor, a senior scientist in UW-Madison’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, have developed a new energy-harvesting technology that’s particularly well suited for capturing the energy of human motion to power mobile electronic devices.
